Do you love the beach, music and fun?  If the answer is yes, then get yourself to Live at Lakeview for all three!  There’s only one more concert left in their 2013 series!  These events are held every Thursday evening during the summer and are FREE!  They are super fun and a great way to spend your Thursday evening in South Lake Tahoe.  The band sets up facing Highway 50 so while watching you have spectacular views of the Sierras and Lake Tahoe.  With the sun setting in the background, it’s an epic sight.

The venue for the concerts is El Dorado Beach in South Lake Tahoe and they generally last from 4:30 to 9pm.  There is a beer garden, local vendors and food vendors.  Granite Rocx are even looking to be vendors and get their backpacks and coolers there for next years summer series, so look out for them!

My last experience at Live at Lakeview was several weeks back when my family was in town.  I’ve been to about three concerts there this summer.  The last one with my family was great and we all had a blast.  The headliner was Naïve Melodies who is a Talking Heads cover band.  Great stuff!  We ate some food, had a few drinks and enjoyed the beautiful evening.  Below are some pictures!

How do you get to El Dorado Beach?  It’s super easy and right off of Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe.  Coming from Nevada, take Highway 50 towards South Lake Tahoe.  After passing the Safeway on your left you will see the lake on your right.  The beach will come up on your right after that and you can park anywhere in that area.  If coming from the “Y”, pass South Tahoe SUP on your left and the beach will come up on your left just past that.  Parking is limited.  There is paid parking or if you don’t mind the short walk, you can find free spots.  That’s a great reason to have a Granite Rocx backpack and cooler, like I do!

The Live at Lakeview events are an awesome experience.  If you haven’t been yet, you are definitely missing out.  The summer series started June 20th and goes until August 29th, so make sure to get their next Thursday!  Have you been to the summer series, Live at Lakeview?  If so make a comment below!  Also, follow me on twitter @sberei!
